You are wrong, the logic of programing a draft in OOTPB and FHM would be very similar. You will be changing values yes, but the meat of the code will stay very similar. OOTPB and FHM dont draft on minor league stats, they look at potential, current ability and maybe intangibles. Chaning contact to stickhandling or power to shooting stats is fairly easy. How AI percives ratings require mostly value changes, very little in logic code changes. Exact same point applys to trading, signing contracts, financial system, coaching...and probably other stuff. These are all things that should have been copied from OOTPB code and adjusted as needed.
The only thing that would have to be done from scratch is the match engine.
