I tend to completely ignore the morale system during the season... as most of those decisions that will effect an individual player aren't really decisions at all. You play the guy that is performing, sit the guy that isn't. Shop around the guy that might have more value to somebody else, extend the contract of the guy that is part of your future plans. There just isn't much you can do in many scenarios for certain players. Your moves are dictated what is best for the organization.
Now it is a slightly different ball of wax in the off season. When I get hit with the double-angry-whammy of "role on team" and "transactions" for a veteran who has lost his starting job... well, I try to move him. But during the season, he probably has more value to me as a backup than getting shipped for a prospect.
