Yeah. That's a good idea. I never really thought of it that way. It would make more sense to turn finances off until 1975. It would be a lot better though if there would be an option to turn free-agency off and on, but still keep the financial system in place, that would be best. Then teams can still have finances, but players won't have the freedom they didn't have until 75, or whatever.

Has this come up before? Any possibility they might include the option to turn free-agency off in a future version?
