I question whether these actually exist IRL. If they did and a player was traded then he would have recourse via contract law against the new team. Can you imagine 3 or more players all having the same promised role. Not happening. If these promises are not are not enforceable under the contract then they are meaningless and should not be in the game.

Just include a clause that extinguishes the "promise clause" upon a trade.
