Nope. I haven't been giving them out like candy. I just went down my roster, player by player, looking at their contracts. Not a single one of them has a promised position listed as a contract term. (And, just to test whether it would show up, I temporarily edited a contract to give a role and saw that, yes, it does show up on the contract & status page.
