I think that this must be included into the game. Hiring of coaching staff, etc. If you want to take on "coaching" duties then you can "hire" yourself meaning GM/coach the team. But hiring of a head coach, assistants, and goaltending coach should certainly be included in the Septemeber 3rd release!
