They offer us the opportunity to not have any of these things we don't want therefore I don't quite understand the opposition. Yeah, maybe its currently flawed but things like that are a work in progress to get them right.

Yes I realize that but I think it's still helpful to hear peoples' thoughts on these features. IMO, a big reason that many people use these features is that they don't truly understand them.
