We disagree, as usual. If you can't see that storylines - essentially extra random events - increase randomness in a league then there is no point in us discussing the subject.
I know that you love storylines as is and I think that they're still in early beta, so we are probably best off avoiding that discussion entirely.

According to OOTP itself, OOTP MLB play (modern and historical) outnumbers OOTP fictional play three to one.
