I look forward to that day, and now with the new tool that shows me prospects getting better/worse, I can do it better.
I did edit some of the initial players. I wanted a thumper, i wanted a young kid that could run, etc. Nothing stupid.
The only manipulation I do now is when I am bringing MLB rookies into the draft. I use the 'set potential using these stats' using their career averages for the most part.
The cool thing is the game can run off the rails, like Arod's career ending a few years back. (and I have a dilema with him and the HOF, he had a koufax like run).
BTW that's coming up for me. I am thinking I am going to do HOF inductions every deca year. 2030 being the first. And I want to set high standards and am wondering if I should do them as just hitters and pitchers? or positionally?
I am having more fun now than when I started, so considering I am in season 18 that's saying something about this amazing piece of software.

With a league like this, it might be cool to do it by position. Also would be neat to do it by how well they did in the limited amount they played. I know a few of the original Iron Pigs were already well into their 30's at the onset of the league, so maybe some of those guys could still be considered?
