One thing the game may not factor is that players who are on streaks might adjust their ordinary batting style to maintain that streak, which in real life may subtly push their numbers one way or another.
A player who draws an average amount of walks might start swinging at more pitches if he has a 25 game hitting streak on the line. Or he might bunt with the infield deep in a RISP situation. A player sitting on 3 HR is going to swing for the fences on the 4th at bat no matter what. Even if it makes a very small adjustment, I doubt the game is taking it into account.
