IPA PLAYOFFS START TOMORROW
The IPA Pro Cup opening round gets started tomorrow afternoon around the Islands... a wide-open affair is forecast by the baseball pros with the favorite being the high-octane Sugar Valley Rattlers of the Ruthlandian Union... the high-scoring Claxton Diamonds were the second choice... the number-three ranked club was the well-balanced Tuckanarra Blue Jays of the Tycobbian Union... the pitch-rich North Hills Hawks were fourth in poll... Turon Typhoons with its strong mound staff came in fifth... the Colfax Blasters were sixth in the balloting... followed by the Far Mountain Redhawks and La Claire Lynx... keep in mind unheralded teams have been known to win the Pro Cup... last year's winner Waleska is a prime example... they were the sixth choice in the Pro Cup poll.

Favored Sugar Valley hosts Colfax in first round IPA Elite 8 action and Claxton entertains Far Mountain in best-of-seven series... in Tycobbian play it'll be La Claire traveling to Tuckanarra and North Hills on the road in Turon.
