Another winning month, not as spectacular but no one's going to complain at a 16-11 leaving us 5.5 games ahead of Toronto.

It wasn't looking like it was going to be a good month when Cano went down with a hamstring injury early on, but the team continued to put up good performances with people stepping into the breach. Brandon Belt also missed a couple of games during a series in Toronto. The Blue Jays might have thought they'd get some reprieve and a chance to win. How wrong they were, Both Jason Castro and Corey Hart went 5 for 6 with 2 homers each as we blasted them 24-3 in one of the games.
Another player to step up was Dante Bichette Jr who took the AL Rookie of the Month award with a .363 batting average, 4 homers and 19 RBI's from the DH slot while Matt Snyder covered 2B for Cano.
The pitching staff didn't have the best of months but the big bats are making up for any deficiencies. At the moment.
