I play seasons only, with month-by-month adjustments to line-ups and pitching, because I come up with so many ideas on what historical teams to play and how to play. Rarely do I include minors. And no finances - I tried it once and didn't like dealing with it. Trading is quite intriguing and challenging (hard, low frequency). I check my team's stats regularly, both individual and compared to the league, plus who the league leaders are. No fictional play either; the farthest I've ever gotten is 2016 and I lost interest.
