Are you running the latest patch??
It was fixed in the latest patch, however I don't know if the fix works with existing games or not.
I've tested this for others with the same issue and you can ignore the year..Just set your start date, generate a schedule and your season should play out normally for the current year.
To be safe though, I'd make a copy of your saved game just in case.
Please let me know if it works or not.
