Dave Russell 1-1-0 (1) vs Adam Watt 1-0-0 (1) - Watt dominated the heavy favorite Russell, scoring a 3rd round knockdown then another in the 5th round before the ref had seen enough and called the fight. This takes the top seed out of the equation.

Jamie Withers 0-1-0 (0) vs Costa Chondros 2-1-0 (1) - Another top seed drops by the wayside as Chondros scored the 9th round KO after having dominated much of the fight.

Daniel Ammann 0-1-0 (0) vs Daniel Rowsell 5-1-0 (3) - Rowsell won the last World Tournament Berth and Ammann was a 1st round casualty last time out, though neither have met. This one went the distance with the neither man down. The fight literally came down to the final round with the judges scoring it 144-143, 144-143 and 143-144 for the winner by split decision Ammann.

Steve Aczel 1-2-0 (0) vs Dominic Vea 1-0-0 (1) - Aczel pummeled Vea for the bulk of the bout, opening a gash on the left eyebrow directly above the eye in the 5th round that reopened in the 7th to end Vea's tourney dreams.
