Colorado World Series Champs
It came down to the 9th inning. Joe Mauer hit a 1 out double, and then pinch runner Pedro Ciriaco was moved to 3rd with an Emilio Bonifacio ground out to 2nd. Jackie Bradley Jr, the next hitter, could not capitalize, however, as he flew out to right, ending the Sox comeback chances and sealing up a 3-2 victory for the Colorado Rockies.
This is the Rockies first championship in their 2nd World Series appearance. Pomeranz got the victory and Rex Brothers recorded his 7th Postseason save.
Congratulations to the 2017 World Series champion Colorado Rockies!
