one time payment for this version. It's in beta for another couple months but you get the game right away...just be prepared for a WIP version of the game for the time being but there are updates every couple of weeks. Many features are disabled and things are being ironed. I don't know how much enjoyment you will get from the game at this point as some people are really loving it and others are having a difficult time until the bugs are fixed (and UI tweaked). I do say that if you're a hockey fan whos into text sims you probably won't regret this purchase once it's officially released.

OOTP baseball has a new version each year, there are no monthly payments or yearly payments if you wish to only buy one version. There is no DRM too! That is the plan for FHM as well.

One thing you will learn about a company like OOTP is that they truly care about their customers. Technical support is outstanding. These guys do have multiple updates (for FHM and OOTP) and listen to their customers requests (even though it feels like all mine for ootp baseball have fallen on deaf ears [I guess they just aren't a big enough demand but that's another story])
