i tend not to use a backup
instead every 3-4 years i save the game as a template, takes seconds, then in 4 years i earase the earlier template- to save some room
that is about a 2 second job, and i can lose a year if something odd happens, but i find template save is easiest. i would only have to reload the caps, unis and player photos- if fictional well the fictional guys after "a crash" will look slightly different
