West what about doing a random league and adding 1 historical franchise every (through Import team) 5-10 years? Start with an 8 team MAL league add say the 1915 Yankees and any year for the Cubs and start with one of those teams. Of course then you have fictional and real players til the real players retire.
What about creating a league of all the worst teams of all time at 1900. import historical rookies and build it that way.

Some things have to be in order. F.e. random debut leagues give me the creeps. If Justin Verlander would have been supposed to pitch to Babe Ruth, both would have been born in the same generation.
