I doubt they will add this feature to the game before version 1.0.
Just looking at the date we're at right now it's a bit more than 2 months away from the release and lots of tweaking has to be done before they can release this game as a stable solid working game.

I've only played it like 2 hours but there's lots of work ahead - but looking positive towards it because it's all fun and i see a lot of progress here.

And yes, I also think this option is the number one on the list of adding features to this game. I can't wait until they add it.
For myself, but i can't talk for everybody i will probably not play the Retro game-mode and would like to see them develop a solid and stable regular game fist before adding different game-modes.
