I've been away for awhile but this is quite surprising to hear. Even if it is just a superficial feature I think it should be included. I would actually put head coaches as a top priority item if I were making a sim. Forget about fictional mode and additional features if this isn't included first.
The right coaches can make or break some teams and players development. That's like making a hockey sim but not including the playoffs. I'd say it's essential. (as is the memorial cup for junior leagues but that's a whole other story

I love following the careers of coaches/staff and how they advance their careers as much as goalies. I can do this in ootp. I can't do this as much in ehm. I was hoping it would come to fhm. Fingers crossed.
