Certainly OOTP is worth the price they charge for it - so are a lot of other things in life too, but priorities tend to have more importance toward a purchasing decision then comparisons. At least for me they do.

There's another perspective for you.

I'm not sure comparing how the same $40 spent on two forms of entertainment is "apples to oranges", but I know my wife loves having me home spending hours looking at "numbers" rather than out running with the boys bar hopping (if that was my thing).

I posted this cause just last week in my online lg (BSA) we were discussing when to move to 14 and some complained about the cost of switching every version (which we don't) and a discussion pursued where most guys easily spent $40-$70 a weekend at the bar/club and if it was a really wild weekend the bar tabs reached upwards of $300!

my point being that OOTP isn't expensive when you look at the cost per hr of entertainment. Like other poster mention, a movie is $8-$21 (IMAX 3D) per ticket and is roughly 2 hrs of entertainment and that is not a guarantee of good enjoyable entertainment!

another way to look at is if you pre-order the game is $30 or $2.50 a month!

anyway, I don't think we are disagreeing on that OOTP is worth the price, just throwing out some different everyday perspectives.
