Sounds like Nap Lajoie. Hit .384 and won the batting title in 1910 at 35. Hit .335 in 1913 at the age of 38, was 11th in the MVP voting. At 39 in 1914 he hit .258 with an OPS+ of 84. Went from 5.3 rWAR to 0.0 in one season.
