First off you must be in preseason to change your schedule. Go to league setup and select options. Right hand side right under the option for spring training and above the All star game and playoffs.....you will see the number of games in your schedule, the option for a balanced schedule and the option for inter league play. Change this from 168 to 162 and then make sure you regenerate a schedule.
