World War II!
Every once in a great while, heroes are called into action. November 1, 1956 was that day.
With a war brewing in Europe, Sim Nation was content to "sit this one out." S.N. was still mending its wounds from the Civil War that nearly ripped the nation to shreds. But Sims across the country lost that choice on a grim October 31st morning when news spread of a surprise attack on Twikii.
The tropical island territory was bombarded by Japanese bombers and fighters. 2,402 Sims lost their lives.
S.N. President Avery Cooper Simpson proclaimed October 31, 1956 "a date which will live in infamy." Apathy gave way to fury. Fury gave way to resolve. SimNation was thrust into what would become World War II. And baseball would be there to lend a helping hand.
