September 16th races

PENNANT RACES-Brooklyn has picked up a game, now 3 up on Buffalo. The big shocker has come in the Lone Star where the Hooks have won 4 straight, and El Paso lost 4 in a row (and is 1-6 in their last 7) to put Corpus Christi in a commanding position with just 12-13 games to go.

Castro and Swagat appear to be headed to the wire in the batting race, with a triple crown on the line for Castro. He's 7 RBI's away from an unprecedented 200 in a single year. Stan Hall needs a break or two but a pitching triple crown is within reach.

Ameixieira looks to have the CL batting title sewn up, with Quinn hurt. Fresno features the Coastal Leagues top 2 winners in Cordell Bond (20) and Travis Wright (19). Wright is shooting for his first 20 win season, at age 26. His last 4 full years have gone 16-7 3.09, 19-8 3.68, 17-7 3.80 and this years 19-3 2.72. He's a career 80-31 3.45 in 152 starts.
