It offen happens to me especially when making a trade the player invariably stinks that first half year then the following year If you should keep him seems to find himself again and do very well. Same thing happens with rookies although I have had 1 nice surprise but just keep sticking him out there to play he will eventually kick some heads to play. I have also noticed that if you have a leader on your team in the lineup the team does so much better too. I had a player who just couldn't hit a barn. But when one of my leaders came back from DL. It just seemed like this guy couldn't miss anymore suddenly. He went from being a .249 hitter to threatening .300. At the moment he is hitting .284 he slowed down a bit. But still doing his damage.
