Injury updates.

Injury update on Austin Jackson:

He's eligible to come off the DL today, but he's apparently not healed enough from his left hamstring pull. His return date is still to be determined.

The good thing? Tigers aren't really missing him. Dirks/Infante have done a pretty good job in the leadoff slot. I'd have to say that's an excellent discovery, because AJ has been the table setter for quite some time. It's nice to find out the offense can function without his bat.

The bad news? The longer Jackson is off, the longer it'll take for him to get back into form, which could be problematic if something happens to Dirks or Infante or they stop hitting.

Also, I'm not quite that confident the defense in CF is what it should be. The donkelly is a competent glove (don't ask me about his bat, I'll just say something extremely impolite), and Dirks/Garcia are adequate defenders, but no one plays CF as well as AJ.

Hopefully, he'll return soon.

No word on Dotel. At least they're not really missing him, which says a lot about the BP right now. While they're still looking for help, there won't be any moves in that direction until near the trading deadline.
