24 25yo star 1b Roger Connor signs 3yr extension with the Cincinnati Reds.
Preseason - February
1 NA RULE CHANGE - The Rules commitee of the National Association decided to liven thing up a bit by changing the minimum service time requried to become a free agent. That is now 7 years. It gives teams a little more control over thier yougsters.
13 The Columbus Buckeyes have signed 28yo FA LF Larry Johnson to a 3yr deal.
16 The Toledo Blue Stockings have signed 26yo FA RHP Tim Keefe to a 3yr deal.
19 The Louisville Eclipse have signed 27yo FA 3b Tony Alviso to a 4yr deal.
20 The Cleveland Forest Citys have signed 25yo much sought after FA CF J B Young to a 1yr deal.
