To the point of the thread, 4 of the 6 reported over performances come from players who benefit from having neutralized stats not modified for the ball park in which they played.
An 8.8% overage in HRs is significant, but with any result from a single season, it is only a single season. League totals are more meaningful than team totals which are more meaningful than individual totals.
So, even though I am pointing out that 2/3s of the reported over performances come from hitting friendly environments (in 1984), I am fully aware that this data set, by itself, does not prove anything.
