Actually i would tend to disagree. i am finding that the totals modifiers, particularily in a historical game, have a tremendous impact in how the stats turn out.
a 1.080 will have quite a difference to 1.040 even though it seems like a small adjustment
totals modifiers is something i want to study more carefully as i feel it has a major imact.
ie for fun try a league say with 2000 home runs as its base and 1.000 for the modifier, then another league with 1500 and a 1.200 modifier. even though the first should generate more home runs, i think the second would actually create more, and certainly more bigger numbers from the top end guys where you really notice what a season is doing or not
