Yeah, you're right. I guess my problem in 83 was that the "season predictions" had us going 87-75 even though they went 77-85 in real life. We actually did over perform based on RL and went 80-82. However, because of the game's "judging" of performance I got a "1" GM rating which made me feel life a failure.

This season (84) I knew we were going to fall off but I figured if I could increase our wins from 69 to 70-75 and that I'd be ok. However, we're likely going to lose 10+ more games than in real life which is a drastic swing in the opposite direction. What is making it worse is that soooo many players are under performing compared to real life. Of course, if it goes back in the opposite direction next year and 90% of my guys over perform then I'll be ok

Another thing that I noticed, which is part of the issue, is that team strategy and even player strategy sliders have little to no effect in some areas. I tried setting my team strategy to one notch from "never" on stealing bases and I had two guys with 40+ last year, one of which was only successful about 60%. I even changed their player settings to that and they would still steal (and get caught) more than I wanted. I've also notice that my SP's get left in longer than I would like even though I've moved the team and player settings toward the quick hook side (+2 or 3 from the left). Obviously that would be corrected if I play the games out but even if they only take 10 minutes a game I still don't have 27 hours to play through each season.
