It's just never been an issue in my mind. In Strat O Matic I have expectations because the player card is setup to produce certain stats\performance. In OOTP I don't have those expectations because the "card" or in OOTP terms "ratings" are alive and change over time. The fact the ratings are "alive" and a player like Verlander can tank one game or fall off the earth, ala Dantrelle Willis, is what makes OOTP the best baseball simulation in the world, IMHO. So, the thing the original poster complains about that makes OOTP unrealistic is in fact what makes OOTP realistic. Go figure  |
