Ugh. The one thing this game is great at is sucking you in and then stabbing you in the heart when you least expect it. Back in 2009 I played through the 1975 season in a sort of pseudo-historical league(historical teams at start but trades not according to history) and made it to the 1975 World Series against Boston. After dropping game one I took the next two and looked to take a commanding 3-1 lead at home in game 4 with ace Steve Carlton on the mound. Dominating, Lefty took a 2-0 lead into the 9th. Long story short Boston rallies to make it 2-1 with runners on the corners and 2 outs and Fisk due up. I could have brought in Jim Todd to face Fisk but decided to go with my ace instead, Fisk lined a homer down the right field line and we lost 4-2. Dropped the next two as well and my Championship drought continued...
