Wavier Trades if somebody like the Jets is awarded the claim of lets say Tom Gilbert then lets say the his former Team the Stars can let him go for nothing,Pull him back or work out a Trade and same goes for unsigned Prospects if another NHL team signs the person to an offer sheet you have so many days to match it it don't you either get Draft Picks or Players in return.

Trades at the Draft,Top players left on the Board and so on that happens in real life

Tryouts including Free-Agents

Relocation by the Computer and when Expansion happens by the Computer Minor League Teams come with new Team and have like say Richmond Hurricanes contract with Carolina 9/23/2019 in after that date can renew it or find a new home for that team.
I agree with the negotiation aspect of trading! It would be VERY nice to actually have that ongoing "WELL NO, BUT...HOW ABOUT YOU DO THIS" - similar to the free agency. I think this was present in NHL:EHM and would be very beneficial in this game.

In regards to waivers, I don't think they quite work that way. I don't think the team who waives the player has the choice to pull him back in and then offer him to a team. Usually, from what I can tell, they clear and then a team offers for the player.

I concur with free agency try-outs.
