I like to look at the fee agents right after the declaration, and try to sign young guys with high potential for my minors. A couple players asked for a minor league contract and a signing bonus. I clicked "meet demand" and they responded, no, I want a minor league contract and a signing bonus, which was just what I offered. I increased the signing bonus offer from $330,000 to $500,000 but the player again responded no, he wanted a minor league contract and a $330,000 signing bonus! This has happened three times now. I cannot get them to accept exactly what they say they want. What gives?
