I think that his first year catching so many games is what's wrong with him. His legs have not recovered (and may never) from all that wear and tear. The first year of batting was not affected by the wear and tear, but now he can't escape it. As Mario Impemba said during last nights game, batting begins with the legs. If the legs aren't working right then batting doesn't work right. Sad to see, since he was so fun to watch that first year.
