It's not ideal for those who want the IA to handle minor league lineups, depth charts and rotations, but here's what I do.

I have control of those things set to me so that I can handle all DL moves. Then, once per week (or if needed because of roster changes), I go into the lineup and pitching staff screens and use the "ask manager for ..." functions to have the AI set them up for me. It's extra work compared to just setting the AI to do it, but it does keep the AI from making DL moves. And it's really only 5-10 seconds of work per team.

My bigger issue is that I don't always get a news story or a pop-up when one of my minor leaguers is hurt. (My news settings are set for all news in the entire world.) I check my minor league teams each day, but sometimes I miss an injury. And it's especially annoying when a guy is "diagnosis pending" and then the diagnosis comes in and I forget to check his status for a few days.
