I actually let the computer do that too. I'm not much for baseball knowledge and quite honestly, I find it annoying to have to micromanage every move, so I like the "let computer set lineup button"

My only issue would be if I could lock someone in, for instance, a young up and coming player who should be in the lineup but when the comp sets it up, they send him to the minors. I wish you could lock that one guy in and then hit the button and he stays.

Really it is all about trading for young prospects, always look at the active players list by potential and keep your eye out for those 18-21 year olds that haven't budded into greatness yet. trade for them. and build from your rotation out.

AND this year, you can generally get some good pitching prospects in the draft toward the back end of the first and second round in the draft. Snatch them up and if you get an abundance of pitchers, trade them for position players. Pitchers are worth more in the trade market.

With great pitching, you can still win with a mediocre team.
