I see his point but at the same time the company (this is not a company of EA Sports size proportions) has to survive to keep improving the product. They do offer discounts throughout the year, sometimes on pre-order or other occasions like All-Star weekend, Christmas etc.

When you think of it, how many of us waste $40-45 easily in a matter of a few days or over a month on coffee, junk food, movies, beer, magazines, etc?

Priorities :-)

This game gives you more hours of enjoyment in one day than some of the aforementioned items!
