I wasn't crazy about all three as our top pick, but I ended up going with my scout. Even though pitching isn't the top priority, you can never have too much pitching. Plus he really was the best player available and we now have cornered the market on the Benes brothers.
In the second round we drafted first baseman James Loney. Shortstop Juan Bell was our third round pick, followed by starting pitcher Duke Esper and third baseman Henry Burroughs.
I'm not sure how much this draft helped, but we'll head into the offseason knowing where we need to improve.
