The last three games in July, were home against the Berwick Slaters. The forecast was for perfect weather, and we expected good crowds all three nights!
Befor the series, the Gettysburg GM called me and proposed a
trade for our backup first baseman Bartolo Zamora, which I had no interest in. The trade deadline in the NBL is August 1st, and we have no intentions of moving, or acquiring any player(s).
The first three games of this series, couldn't have went any better, with the Aces winning all three, by the scores of 9-8, 4-0, and 6-5, to extend our winning streak to six games! As predicted, the stands were "overflowing" and the fans got treated to some great baseball!
Game 2 was particularly enjoyable as Eisuke Heida worked his "magic" with a five hit shutout, to get his 8th win of the season!
So, as the month of July came to a close, here are where the teams in the National Conference shake out!!
