Don't know about it not showing up in the history, but it's too long to be a drug-related suspension according to current mlb rules.
Right now it's:
50 games for first offense
100 games for second offense
life-time ban for third offense
Wikipedia claims otherwise. They have it at 150 games for a second offense, but it's unsourced and I couldn't find anything to back it up.
Here's a recent article on ESPN about Selig wanting tougher punishments, which is as close as I could find. But it also reiterates that the current policy is 50/100/ban.
