9. Players who refuse to sign if, after they agree to a contract extension, you shorten the contract or lower the value. Either that or, once you and the player agree on a contract value, it locks this in as the only value you can sign the player as (sort of like when you make offers during free agency). That way you either withdraw your offer and lose the player or you resign them.
