I have seen a decrease in one year and then an increase the next. I had a player who hit .310 52 141 one year and then the next bat .280 21 101 and then .301 41 99 the third with his batting ratings remaining near the same for HR's. You don't see it that often when a player drops 30+ homers one season then go back up the next. This seems to be a common theme throughout my career league for players still in their "prime" of their careers.
