Lightbulb My Talent Potential Training (TPT)

Another thread got me thinking about this so I figured I would share. Over the years I've 'stolen' several great ideas from other community members here on the forums and figured I could share something I do in my solo leagues with the community.

In my online league (BSA) we have a participation points system (for PRs, Tweeting, Blogs, podcast, exports) where you can add points to a players POTENTIAL ratings (we play w/hidden rating as do I in my solo lgs).

I've carried this over to my solo leagues by using a similar system to the BSA's Participation Points system.

How I earn Talent Potential Training (TPT):
- 2 FREE
- making the All-Star Game = 1 TPT
- winning weekly awards = 1 TPT
- winning monthly awards = 2 TPT
- winning yearly awards = 4 TPT
- winning Def awards = 2 Defensive TPT
- (optional) game performance (3 HR, 5 Hits, ect.) = 1 TPT
- (optional) All Minor League Awards/Performances = 1 TPT

How to Use TPT:
- Each individual Talent Potential Training (TPT) = 13 points added to Potential
- The player must be under 28 years old on the last day of the post-season.
- Each purchase of Individual Talent Potential Training allows one of the following:
--- A batter may increase one of the following by one point: Gap, Power, Eye, Avoid K's.
--- A pitcher may increase one of the following by one point: Movement, Control, one Pitch.
- A player can only receive Individual Talent Potential Training 2x per season.
- If use 2 TPT's on same player it = 25 added potential points, not 26
- No Talent Potential Rating can be increased above 20 (1-20 scale used).

Example:
I just finished my imported Braves season and here is how I would break it down.

- 2 FREE TPT = 2 TPT
- Heyward won GG = 2 Def TPT
- 2 POTW Awards = 2 TPT
- 1 Pitcher of the Month = 2 TPT
- 7 All-Stars = 7 TPT
- (optional) 1 game performance = 1 TPT
- (optional) 5 minor league awards/performances = 5 TPT

so total I would have 19 TPT's, which is high for my liking so I would decline using the optional TPTs giving me 13 total TPT's or 6 players to use the max 2 TPT per player = 25 potential point add and then one TPT (13 potential points) to use on a 7th player.

Plus since Heyward won the Gold Glove I get 2 TPT's to use on defense only.

I know this isn't for everyone and it takes a little bit of extra work, but I've come to enjoy it, especially since I use RL MLB rosters and have RL favorites (Heyward, Teheran) that I want to see become legends. The good thing about adding to one's Potential is there is no guarantee that they will hit that potential.
Plus, I make sure I don't abuse the TPT (I don't always use my TPT) or the Editor function. What fun is there in winning if you change to many things behind the scenes?

Anyway, I hope you enjoy. Hit me up if you have any questions as I hope I didn't make it to confusing with all the wording.
