I know several posters have had the crash problem, and it really sucks that you have. But to call the game completely unprepared for release, due to a problem that really could not have been foreseen (especially given that the exact cause hasn't been found yet to the best of my knowledge), is overkill.
Perhaps if you report that you are also having this issue and FTP your game file to Markus, it will help solve the problem (assuming you have not already done this).
