I am trying to understand how to interpret current and potential , overall ratings. I have a player in my fictional league who has a current rating as a 3B of 73 and a potential rating of 40. How can this be and what is this telling me about this player? Is it WAD or a bug? I am using AI ratings not pure ratings in setup.

Can someons direct me to a good discussion of the rating system?
