The Red Sox won this game 7-1 to break the sequence and win the World Series 4 games to 3. I really feel that the Doves ran themselves out of this ballgame. Three caught stealing and no actual steals, but more discouraging, there were many runners cut down trying to go from 1st to 3rd on a single. The game ended with both Sisler and then Bailey being thrown out trying to go from 1st to 3rd. Given that the score was 7-1, I'm not totally sure that it would have made that much difference, but it didn't help.

In any case, it was a great series and I hope that I can keep the Doves tooled so that we can come back and try again in the next season.
