The Rest of 1906
July was a disastrous month for us as we went 6-22 and just fell to the bottom of the league. In August, we did a little better at 11-16. In September, we showed a little life and went 14-11, but ended the season in last place in the league with a record of 66-88. Our pitching was 7th and so was our offence. I'm not quite sure what went wrong. I don't think the three position players I moved who could only play 1B would have helped us. We did have the 4th best OBP and led the league in HRs. In any case, it was a disappointing year as I expected better things for this team. But we just have to get back up off the floor and continue to rebuild.
